Clinton charity to take Australian funds

By Asad Qureshi.

WITH Hillary Clinton taking a tilt at the presidency, the Clintons' charity is keen to insulate her from any controversy over its reliance on millions of dollars from abroad.
SO the board of the Clinton Foundation has announced it will continue to accept donations from the governments of only six nations, including Australia.
Clinton resigned from the foundation's board last week amid criticism over the charity's ties to foreign governments. Foundation officials now say future donations will be allowed only from the governments of Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and the UK. All have supported the charity's health, poverty and climate change programs. Other nations could continue to participate in a subsidiary program, the Clinton Global Initiative, which doesn't require direct donations. The foundation also will begin disclosing its donors every quarter instead of annually.
