Aussie skier feared murdered in Canada

CANADIAN homicide detectives are treating the death of a teenage Australian skier as suspicious after his body was found in a gravel pit near the ski village of Whistler.
JAKE Kermond, 19, from Harrietville, Victoria, was last seen about 7.30pm on April 26 when leaving the Adara Hotel.
A dirt biker found his body in the pit in an industrial area on the outskirts of Whistler on June 17. The British Columbia Coroners Service and detectives worked together to positively identify the teen. "Although Jake's death remains suspicious, foul play has yet to be confirmed, Royal Canadian Mounted Police's integrated homicide investigation team spokesperson, Sergeant Stephanie Ashton, told the Vancouver Sun. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward, particularly those who knew Jake in the days preceding his disappearance and ultimately his death. He was reported missing by hotel staff on April 30. Some of his belongings are missing, including his Armada skis with blue and orange bindings. He had been in Whistler since March 2015.
