3 Estonian men jailed over cyber scam

THREE men have been sentenced to more than three years in prison for their roles in a cyber scam that infected more than four million computers in over 100 countries.
JUDGE Lewis Kaplan in Manhattan federal court said general deterrence was an important reason for tough sentences at a time when it's impossible to pick up a newspaper without reading about another scam.
On Thursday he imposed sentences of more than three years and four years to three men who also must finish serving sentences for similar crimes in Estonia. The judge said he considered the fact that some time the men served in Estonia prisons before extraditions to the United States was in terrible conditions.
