Italian police are making arrests of suspected members of an
Islamic terror ring Friday, which allegedly helped execute attacks in
Pakistan, including the market bombing that left more than 100 people
dead.
Anti-terror police in Sardinia said they were executing arrest warrants for 18 suspects. Police said some were responsible for “numerous bloody acts of terrorism in Pakistan,” including the deadly October 2009 explosion in a Peshawar market.
Police said the aim of the terror network was to create an insurrection against the Pakistani government.
