6 Abu Sayyaf members, 2 soldiers killed in Sulu clash

The world's richest man Bill Gates visited the country this past week, a report on GMA's “24 Oras” program said Wednesday.

GMA News was able to obtain an exclusive photo of a helicopter owned by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation at the International Rice Research Institute in Los Baños, Laguna.

MANILA - Six members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) and two soldiers were killed in an encounter in Talipao, Sulu on Thursday, authorities said.

According to Joint Task Group Sulu commander Col. Alan Arrojado, government forces encountered the group of ASG leader Radullan Sahiron in Sitio Kan Amat, Barangay Gata.
Six Abu Sayyaf bandits were killed in the clash. There were identified as Kiram Jaapar, Adzmer Anni, Almujer Samlahun, an alias Rony, an alias Aljon/Almoger, and an alias Sapie.
At least 10 others, four of them identified as Jani Anlun, Wahid Muhammad, Nadzmer Asiri, and Amil Sawadjaan, were wounded.
Fifteen soldiers were also hurt in the firefight.
